What is Read & Achieve?
Read & Achieve is a U.S. Department of Education grant-funded study of the impact of The Third Quest, a popular reading intervention for adolescents reading below grade level.
Why participate?
Try out a proven reading intervention, The Third Quest at no cost.
See improved reading competency for adolescents who read below grade level (gains typically seen within one school year).
Grow the capacity of district and school educators to lead small reading groups.
Participating districts will receive invaluable services, supports and materials at no cost to the district including:
All instructor and student materials for two years.
Paid training for instructors (where permissible by the district).
What is The Third Quest
A Tier 2 reading intervention for students reading below grade level (striving readers).
An evidence-supported reading intervention that builds reading skills within the context of engaging informational text and compelling fictions that adolescent readers can enjoy.
Who can participate?
Districts with at least two middle schools
Schools with a dedicated intervention or small group reading time to support striving readers in grades 6 or 7.
Schools with at least one dedicated instructor to lead one small group of 6–12 students.
